| Description: | PeopleOnPage (POP) has an adware component which is also spyware. POP is a unique browser enhancement that allows you to see information about other POP members (including their pictures!) that visit the same websites you do. Basically its a new twist to the online dating game.It also allows you to share information about yourself and to communicate with other POP members through instant messages and email. Once installed on your PC, it places an toolbar in the side of your browser which contains photo's of people that are browsing the same websites that you are, it also includes their name and the country in which they live. POP lets you speak to these people just by clicking their "CHAT" or "EMAIL" button. AproposMedia is the advert-showing part of the 'PeopleOnPage' program, When the PeopleOnPage sidebar is open, the addresses of all pages visited are sent to the controlling server with a unique tracking ID. POP includes an updater component which can silently download and execute arbitrary code form its controlling server. |
